Our Story
Based in Bukere, Kyaka 2 Refugee Settlement, SafePlas specializes in building toilet slabs and portable toilets from recycled plastic. Our products last longer than concrete infrastructure, and are easier to sanitize.

Four years ago, founder Samuel Odongo came to Kyaka II Settlement for humaniterian work.
He quickly realized recognized the sanitation infrastructure problem. Many refugee households practice open deification because they do not have access to clean and hygienic toilets. Reasons include lack of space for traditional toilet installation and the high cost of toilet construction.
Samuel saw a need for a more sustainable and cost-effective solution.
SafePlas was born and together with the team we work to provide refugees with access to clean and more eco-friendly products, starting with our toilet slabs made from recycled plastics.
